Dr Mike Howell
Work Experience
Over 20 years experience in the aerospace industry in the field of shock, vibration, stress, loads, signal processing & data analysis, analysis software dvelopment, and materials modeling. Structural dynamic analysis of missile & spacecraft and documentation of results. Approximately 10 years experience with Army missile programs including: High Endoatmospheric Defense Interceptor (HEDI), Kinetic Kill Vehicle Integrated Technology Experiment (KITE), Theatre High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) and approximately 10 years with NASA programs including: Space Shuttle, International Space Station Materials Science Research Rack, Crew Return Vehicle (CRV) and Crew Launch Vehicle (CLV). Finite element modeling of aerospace structures and correlation with test results. Pre-test planning and post-flight test data review and analysis of aerospace structures. Structural failure review and corrective action recommendations. Review and recommendations concerning loads and structural dynamics issues.
